General Information

Children

The importance of the early years (0 to 3 and 3 to 10 years old) in a child's development is something that has been well researched and documented.The average child can effortlessly learn language and pronunciation skills at this age that can last a lifetime.

Recognizing the importance of this we have created courses to meet the needs of young learners.

The main goals of of our Children courses are:

• to build a solid base upon which to make future advances
• to introduce and develop language learning skills
• to develop the ability to use language practically and confidently
• to learn while having FUN in a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere

Youth

For many youths foreign languages are just boring school subjects. By putting these languages into a practical perspective motivation increases and a desire to expand knowledge and skill is fostered. Our youth classes aim to use the students current school work (grammar and vocabulary) in practical and realistic situations thus strongly reinforcing and expanding what has already been studied at school. This, along side of our regular program, provides numerous benefits. The main goals of our Youth courses are:

• to provide motivation to learn and excel
• to show that foreign languages are not boring school subjects but useful tools for communication and self-expression
• to build self confidence in language abilities
• to develop effective communication techniques and strategies that will be especially useful in future careers and personal life
• to show that language acquisition can be enjoyable and stimulating

All of our courses are designed to provide a complete learning experience. All styles of learning are catered to, as our courses provide instruction suitable for visual, auditory and kinesthetic learners. You will benefit from our synergistic approach to language learning, our use of accelerated learning techniques and our years of teaching experience.

Group Courses

Our group courses focus on the practical aspects of speaking, listening, reading and writing while building a solid foundation of grammar and vocabulary. Confident self-expression regardless of environmental factors and a thirst for learning and self-improvement are also aims of these courses.

One of the most determining aspects of absorbing a new language is the frequency of exposure. While total immersion in another language may not be possible without visiting another country, increasing the number of study opportunities has been shown to dramatically increase language abilities.

Bearing this in mind we have three types of group classes for you to choose from:

1. 1 x week - (1 x 50 minute class)
2. 2 x week - (2 x 45 minute class)
3. 3 x week - (3 x 40 minute class)

Overseas Classes

Roy's Overseas Courses are designed for those of you who have returned to Japan after living abroad. Are you experiencing culture shock? Are your hard won language skills atrophying through lack of use? This program will not only maintain your language skills but improve them. Here is what students in a similar situation to yourselves are learning and improving.

Private Group

You can select the members attending your Private Group Classes. These classes are well suited for parent and child lessons, family lessons, clubs that would like to improve their language skills, and groups of friends requiring professional instruction. We can provide as much or as little support as required. Some clubs and groups are eligible for a discount so please ask about this after your trial lesson.

Private

You receive instant feedback in a one on one class. You have the flexibility to concentrate on your own special needs and areas that require the most improvement. A Private class gives you the freedom to design your own program, create a program with the help of our professional staff, or leave everything in our capable hands. Home Stay & Travel

Home stays and international travel can provide memories and benefits that can last a lifetime. Our Home stay& Travel courses provide students with the confidence, skills and know-how to gain the most from their time abroad.

Test Preparation

Practice and preparation for foreign language proficiency tests including TOEIC, TOEFL and Cambridge examinations. This course includes test taking strategies specific to the individual examinations which has been shown to dramatically improve scores.
