General Course Information

The mind is like a muscle. With stimulation and challenge continuous growth is possible. Learning another language can be a fun and interesting way to provide 'exercise' for the brain. Sharing your experiences, knowledge and culture, while learning of others, is a satisfying experience. Doing this in another language is particularly rewarding. Roy's has classes in a variety of levels, from beginner to advanced, and classes are designed to proceed at the students' pace. You will find that our Flexible Ticket System allows you more freedom with your schedule. You may also want to join some of our specialty classes such as our Travel or Business Language programs. Our instructors have a great deal of teaching and training experience with students ranging in age from 0 to 83 years old. Group

You have a variety of levels to choose from with our Adult Group classes. Our Flexible Ticket System gives you more freedom with your schedule and allows you to have as many or as few lessons per week as you need. Adult Group lessons come in a wide assortment of levels and you should be able to find one suitable for your needs.

Private Group

You can select the members attending your Private Group Classes. These classes are well suited for Family Lessons, Clubs who would like to improve their language skills, and Language Circles who require professional instruction. We can provide as much or as little support as required. Some clubs and groups are eligible for a discount so please ask about this after your trial lesson.

Private

You receive instant feedback in a one on one class. You have the flexibility to concentrate on your own special needs and areas that require the most improvement. A Private class gives you the freedom to design your own program, create a program with the help of our professional staff, or leave everything in our capable hands. Travel

Roy's Travel courses are designed to provide you with practical language and cultural skills. Your travels will be more enjoyable when you can confidently communicate and avoid common cultural misunderstandings. Our Travel courses are also suitable preparation for those of you who are moving overseas. Please arrange a trial lesson and you can see for yourself the benefits that we offer you.

Business

There are a variety of business level language programs that you can choose from. Various business skills and communication strategies are covered in these programs. Entertaining clients from abroad? Conference & Presentation Preparation

Roy's Conference & Presentation course is an in depth look into the skills and strategies involved in preparing for international conferences and presentations. You will find that your confidence and your practical abilities are greatly developed through this program and as a result conferences and meetings can become enjoyable experiences.

Home Stay

An Adult program designed to prepare you and your families for the experience of hosting home stay students and guests from overseas. You will learn to avoid cultural miscommunications, explain things about your country and culture, and learn general communications strategies. Test Preparation

Practice and preparation for foreign language proficiency tests including TOEIC, TOEFL and Cambridge examinations. This course includes test taking strategies specific to the individual examinations which has been shown to dramatically improve scores.
